About Luigi's Restaurant
Located at 105 N Main St, Akron, OH 44308, Luigi's Restaurant operates as an italian restaurant serving Akron in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amโ12 am. I came here in like 2016 and the pizza was some of the best Iโve ever had I came in 2020/2021 it wasnโt the same but with the pandemic I understand they may have had to make changes I came back 2026 and itโs the same or worse I donโt remember but the pizza is comparable to eating a wet rag with cheese. Bland, soft, and wet. Nothing to desire Iโm very saddened by this. I wanted the like it like I did in 2016 not itโs just over priced wet bread in an outdated restaurant. This hurts to say but truth for me.

The food and service at Luigiโs is fantastic. The food is unbelievably good and service is good even if the place is packed. My first time in, a small child decided to scream as loud as he could, then immediately again for a longer time period after his mom covered his mouth with a napkin. He then proceeded to scream as loud as he could about pizza. Absurdly annoying. Anyways, the place is awesome and the food is great. Thereโs a lot of interesting decor and itโs an overall awesome experience. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

I have been going here since I was 4 (60 years). When great grandfather ran it, the food was incredibly good, and had continued to be, until the past 5 years. Great grandson is now running it and it has gone from the top of the list of places to go, to the bottom. I ordered a salad, my boyfriend ordered a sausage sandwich. Most times, they bring bead and butter out with the drinks. They did not...we had to ask for it, and after we did, the waitress became extremely rude! She didn't set the food on the table, she almost tossed it. She brought the bread and salad out at the same time (even knowing it was all I was going to eat and boyfriend wasn't going to have any). The salad was warm, very close to the point the shredded mozzarella on top was close to melting point and the straps of cheese and salami weren't cold but room temperature. The sausage sandwich was a sausage patty...reminding us of a breakfast sausage patty, not a sausage link comparable to the type you would get, say, at the fair. And it was also room temperature and the lettuce and tomato that came with it were also room temperature. Very, very disappointed! Unfortunately that was the last time we will go there.

Friday night is always a great time to spend with the family and try a new place! Started off with a line out the door! Great sign, met some wonderful people who also traveled to get there. We started off with ordering drinks water for myself and boys and wife got a glass of wineโฆ Got two salads with cheese and the dressing was great! We shared the Baked Ravioli great stuff nice and cheesy. Boys had the pizza and raved about how great it was. Wish the server had a little more knowledge on an allergy of dairy. Wasnโt sure if something had dairy or not. So we loved all of our food and will try to get back again when in the area.

Luigi's is an Akron staple and absolutely deserves all the praise it receives. I have never had a bad experience in the many years I have been visiting. Brought my dad for the first time (we both live up in the Cleveland area but I work in Akron) and he absolutely enjoyed what he got. He said he wishes it was a bit closer as he would absolutely visit again. One thing to always note is they are a cash only establishment so ensure you bring cash with you. They have an ATM onsite in a pinch.
